Cookie policy
IN EFFECT FROM 12 SEPTEMBER 2026
This site runs on almost no cookies. There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking and no third-party script that reports back on you. This page lists what is actually set and lets you change your choice.
Strictly necessary
These are set because the site cannot do its job without them. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require consent, and you cannot turn them off while using the account area.
- Sign-in session
- Set only after you sign in. It is what keeps you signed in as you move between pages. It holds a random session token — no name, no email. Cleared when you sign out; expires after 30 days regardless.
- Journey hand-over
- Set when you press Continue on the home page, so the reservation page opens on the journey you just entered. It holds that journey — the addresses, their map positions, the date and time — and nothing about you. Read only by the reservation page; lasts 30 minutes.
- Cookie choice
- Records the decision you make below or in the banner, so we do not ask again. Contains a version number and one word. Lasts 365 days.
Optional
We would like to keep a simple, anonymous count of which pages are read and which are not, so we can tell what is worth keeping. This is off unless you allow it, and nothing is loaded until you do.
- Analytics
- Not currently active. If enabled it would count page views without building a profile of you, identifying you, or sharing anything with an advertiser. You can decline it and lose nothing.
Third-party content
The route map draws its tiles from OpenStreetMap. Address lookup and distance measurement send the text of an address, or two map points, to geocoding and routing services. These requests are needed to quote a fare and none of them sets a cookie in your browser or receives your name or contact details. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Your choice
. You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser settings at any time; the banner will then ask again on your next visit.
