Heathrow chauffeur service

Met at the arrivals barrier of whichever Heathrow terminal the flight comes into, by a chauffeur who has been following the aircraft since it left the ground.

01 — THE AIRPORT

Heathrow is four terminals rather than one building, and for somebody being met that is the first thing to get right. Terminals 2 and 3 share the central area between the runways; Terminal 4 sits on the southern side, reached along the Southern Perimeter Road; Terminal 5 is at the western end, on its own spur from the M25. There has been no Terminal 1 since 2015. A car sent to the wrong terminal is not a short walk away but on the wrong road, which is why the terminal goes on the booking beside the flight number.

Tracking the flight matters more here than at a smaller airport, because the time between landing and walking out varies so much. A long-haul arrival can land on schedule and still spend a long while taxiing, queueing at the border and waiting at reclaim. We follow the aircraft from take-off, and as it nears London we time the car against its arrival on stand rather than its wheels touching the runway, because the stand is where the passenger starts walking. The interval you left between the scheduled landing and the pick-up is treated as a decision you made and when the flight runs early or late the pick-up moves by the same amount, with that interval kept.

From the central terminals the way in is the M4 and then the A4 through Chiswick, Hammersmith and Kensington; from Terminal 5 a stretch of the M25 comes first. The motorway is rarely where the time goes. It goes in the last few miles, through Knightsbridge into Mayfair, or on along the Embankment towards the City and Canary Wharf. An early-morning arrival usually reaches town ahead of the city's own traffic; an evening one often does not. None of that changes the fare, which is fixed on the route before you confirm.

02 — WHERE WE MEET YOU

Meeting you at Heathrow

At every terminal the outline is the same: the chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall at the barrier with a name board, and the car is parked where Heathrow allows collections, never on the forecourt. What differs is the walk from the hall to the car, and at Terminal 4, since the summer of 2026, it differs a good deal.

Terminal 2
The chauffeur stands at the barrier where passengers come out of customs into the arrivals hall. The car is in Terminal 2's Terminal Parking which the airport puts at a two-minute walk from the building. You walk to it together.
Terminal 3
The same arrangement as next door: the name board at the barrier, the car in Terminal 3's own Terminal Parking a couple of minutes away. A late switch between these two neighbours is the easiest change on the airport to absorb.
Terminal 4
With the multi-storey closed, the chauffeur still meets you inside at the barrier, but the car is held in one of two places: the Priority Pick-Up area directly outside the arrivals hall, charged by length of stay and suited to a short final wait, or Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride, from which the airport's free shuttle bus runs every few minutes. Which of the two depends on how long the car has to wait.
Terminal 5
Arrivals is on the ground floor. The chauffeur is at the barrier; the car is in Terminal 5's Terminal Parking, which is attached to the terminal and a short walk from the arrivals exit.

Each figure is the lowest the booking form quotes for that journey on an ordinary day, with the airport’s own parking charge already in it. A night, a bank holiday or the congestion charge adds what it adds, and is shown before you confirm; VAT at 20% is added on top. Price your own journey and the figure you are shown is the figure you pay.

04 — WORTH KNOWING

Nobody is collected from a forecourt

Heathrow prohibits picking passengers up on any terminal forecourt, and an unattended car there is removed by the police. Anyone who promises to be waiting right outside the doors is either in a car park or about to be moved on. Our chauffeur comes into the hall on foot, and the parking is inside the fare.

Terminal 4 is being rebuilt

The Terminal 4 multi-storey closed on 23 June 2026 while its forecourts and car park are redeveloped. Collections now run through a Priority Pick-Up area outside arrivals or through Zone A of the Park & Ride, so the walk to the car is not the one regular travellers remember.

What every booking includes

How it works

I

Price the route

Put the two addresses into the booking form. The fare comes back on the measured distance, not off a table, and it is the fare you pay.

II

Confirm the car

Choose the vehicle and the booking type, give us the flight number if there is one, and pay or put it on the account.

III

Meet your chauffeur

His name, photograph and registration reach you the evening before. His live position reaches you on the morning.

IV

The name board in arrivals

On an airport pick-up he is inside the terminal at the barrier, not in a car park. Delays are absorbed by us, not billed to you.

05 — QUESTIONS

Because Heathrow does not allow it at any terminal, and a car left at the kerb is towed. Being met inside and walking a couple of minutes to the car park is what the airport permits. The car-park charge is already in the fare, so there is nothing to pay on the way out.

Then the car is there early. An early arrival is known hours before it happens, and the chauffeur is sent to meet the aircraft rather than the timetable.

The arrivals board does not know about a long queue at the border, so ring the control room if you can. The complimentary waiting on an airport arrival is there to absorb exactly this kind of Heathrow morning; beyond it waiting is charged, and it is billed afterwards rather than guessed at when you book.

The one on your ticket or in the airline's app for that flight. If it changes on the day, tell the control room and the chauffeur is moved before you land. Terminals 4 and 5 are each a separate drive from the central pair, so a silent mistake costs time.
